Today I want to make a pledge to thank you, not just for everything you do, but for the love, strength and dedication you show every single day as Mum's unpaid carer.

Your care is given without expectation of recognition or reward. You are always there to help, support, comfort and encourage Mum through both the good days and the difficult ones. Your patience, kindness and unwavering commitment are an inspiration to our family and to everyone who knows you.

I pledge to never take your efforts for granted. I will acknowledge the sacrifices you make, listen when you need support, and remind you that your wellbeing matters too. I promise to appreciate the countless acts of care that often go unnoticed and to thank you for the difference you make every day.

You have shown that caring is one of the greatest expressions of love. Your compassion has given Mum comfort, dignity and security, and it has shown me the true meaning of family.

Thank you for being such an incredible husband, father and carer. I am immensely proud of you and deeply grateful for everything you do. Your love and selflessness will always be remembered and appreciated far more than words can ever express.
